You will find AquaNautas in the bay of Bayahibe under the restaurant Mare Nostrum. We have our own pier and you'll see the blue AquaNautas platform anchored 200 yards offshore. The transfer will be done in our famous Semi-Sub.
Our 'home reef' at Bayahibe has a dept of maximum 3.5 meter / 10ft. And the reef is teaming with fish. AquaNautas is the only way for non- swimmers to get a glimp of the underwater world. But even experienced divers like it. An ideal opportunity to introduce your non-diving partner to the underwater world. The whole experience takes +- 1 hour and we arrange the pick up in the resorts.

A: No, it's not recommended for pregnant women
2. My son is 12 years of age, can he join?
A: That depends on his weight, kids above 66 pounds or 30 kg can do AquaNautas.
3. How do you get the air? A: The air comes through a plastic tube either from the compressor or from the diving tanks. We've a double system; in case one system fails the other one takes over. You'll receive 3 times the amount of air that you can breathe.
4. How deep do we go? A: We're going to decent to approximately 3-4 meters (10-12 ft). Please note that your head might be only 1.5 - 2 meters (5 - 7ft) underwater.
5. Do we have to take our shoes? A: You get plastic shoes when you arrive on the platform.
6. We can't swim; is that a problem? A: No, swimming skills are not required.
7. I'm a party animal and drink a lot, any problems? A: If you're under the influence of alcohol you're not allowed to take part, if you have a hangover from the night before it's the best way to get rid off it.
8. How long does it take? A: We do a guided tour of 30 minutes under the water with a certified dive instructor. Together with the instruction before the tour and the taxi trip from and to the hotel count on one hour.
9. Are you well insured? A: We've a 2.000.000 USD insurance width Lloyds of London (UK).
10. What is there to see below the surface of the sea? A: Lots of tropical fishes and beautiful coral.
11. Can we take our own camera? 12. Which language do we speak underwater ? A: Communication underwater goes by signals, we'll give you a 5 minute instruction before you descent.
13. Is it safe? A: It's the safest underwater activity in the world, we use the most sophisticated equipment that's available and our instructors are all trained and certified.
14. What happens in case of cancellation? A: If we've to cancel the AquaNautas walk because of bad weather or bad sea conditions, we'll plan to do the activity on another day when circumstances are more favorable. In case this it not possible we'll refund the money to you. In case you cancel more than 24 hours before the activity takes place, you get a 50% refund. There's no refund when you cancel on the day of the tour.
15. How do we get to AquaNautas? A: You'll be picked up from your hotel by an accredited taxi (included in the price).
16. Do I get a discount by booking directly on the Internet? A: You get a 20% discount on the normal rate applicable in the resorts when you book over the internet. Just complete the bookings form and we will send you a voucher.
17. What is the origin of AquaNautas? A: AquaNautas is a Dutch owned company with lots of experience in the tourist industry. The AquaNautas system is designed and built in Canada. It is tested and improved in Colombia for 9 years now. AquaNautas is since Jan. 2009 in Bayahibe.
18. When will I be back at the hotel? A: The whole AquaNautas activity takes +- 1.5 hours. You can also take the opportunity to explore Bayahibe, but notify us and the taxi driver before you do the AquaNautas.
19. Where can I book the AquaNautas Experience? A: Ask the diving center at your hotel and they will contact us. You get a voucher from the staff of the dive center.

20. How do I pay when I book online? A: We only except cash payments, we don't have credit card facilities. You can pay in us$, Euro and Pesos. We don't require a deposit, however make sure you really want to do the tour when you make the reservation.
